The view from the dining and drawing rooms of this hotel were second to none. It was lovely to sit and sip my whisky by the fire.
Hot water in the shower did not work. Had a bath instead. Scratchy blankets and no doonas :(
No complaints about anything at all excellent position on the Isle of Skye
The facilities, staff and location were excellent. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day on the Isle of Sky and were able to see the lovely Cuillin Mountains. The staff was friendly and professional.
The bed was much too stiff and the foam pillows were not up to the standard a facility like this generally has. Both my husband and me woke with sore necks and backs.
its position the views from the hotel the freidnlyy efficient staff. The foo dwas good the rooms clean masses of hot water and very confortable beds
Friendliness of staff, comfortable atmosphere and genuinely traditional experience. Great setting above bay and Portree.
The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and warm. The view from the dining room at breakfast was stunning and the food itself was scrumptious.
The decor in the room was a little dated and the water pressure in the shower was dreadful; a little surprising for a 4* hotel.
Great blend of luxury and casualness; beauty of its setting, close to downtown but separate enough for quiet and country feel;staff uniformly friendly and pleasant; restaurant menu and food and service very good. We liked everything about Cuillin Hills Hotel.
Outside lights on the building shined in our room all night. Window treatment did not block the light out.
We stayed four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. We had the ground floor tower room which was very comfortable although on the cool side. Having a drink at the fireside in the lounge after a day out in the hills was extremely pleasurable. The staff were always polite and even chatty with the brasserie staff being well informed about the island, the weather etc. It was good to see that many of the staff were local. The breakfasts were pleasing and the evening cuisine in the brasserie, whilst not extensive in range, was of a good standard, especially the venison which melted in the mouth. The hotel is centrally located for visiting the sights of Skye. We would certainly recommend this hotel and we hope to return there next time we are on Skye.
Cannot think of anything that would have improved our stay.
location, location, location Pity that the electric shaver in the room was not working excellent meals and comfort
Very clean, excellent room, friendly staff, outstanding Resturaunt
The Location, the food.
Wifi connectivity low in certain rooms, friendly but poorly trained personell. Except a few rooms to the front, most rooms do not enjoy any of the view but overlook the parking lot. Way overpriced.
Our stay at Cuillin Hills Hotel was most enjoyable. The location, staff and facilities were second to none. Highly recommended.
Location signage could be improved.
Hotel is very luxurious and is located in a prime location. Ample parking. Room was spacious, bed was comfort.
Some aspects of the room were not up to the standard set by the price range: bed was equipped with a cheap blanket rather than a duvet; shower had low pressure and the water appeared to be heatd by a really noisy mechanism. Food in the Brasserie - the casual dining bistro - was overpriced for the quality, in my opinion.
This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Staff were genuinely friendly and the whole place had a very nice atmosphere.
The food was fine but in my opinion could be improved-upon.
